Fuel Processing Equipment
The design of a biomass system needs to consider all parts of that system; as any system will only be as good as the weakest part. The wood fuel is the unique part of a biomass renewable energy system and therefore during the design we will carefully consider all aspects of the fuel supply chain including; the preparation, delivery, storage, and transportation of the fuel to the combustion plant. Also the extraction and removal of the ash waste product.

Fuel Silos & bunkers
These can be supplied in many different sizes and volumes. It is possible to convert existing spaces into fuel storage and then equip it with the appropriate transportation devices to move the fuel to the combustion unit. Free standing silos and bunkers can be manufactured from steel or concrete.
Fuel out-feed mechanisms
Fuel is moved out of the storage by an outfeed device these can be rotary scraper arms, screw augers, moving floor systems or a combination of devices. We are able to advise the correct mechanism for the application, and have many years of experience dealing with the specialist manufacturers.
Fuel Transportation
Typically the fine and rough bulk biomass material is transported with mechanical conveying systems e.g. screws, scraper chain conveyors, conveyor belts and tubulators, which are especially designed for the conveying material. Fine shavings and dust can be transported by means of pneumatic conveying systems. In case of an injection furnace the fuel is injected through fans directly into the furnace.
Ash removal
The furnace and boiler de-ashing can be designed as a wet or dry de-ashing system. The ash is transported with screws, scraper conveyors and conveying belts to the container and the ash bin. Filter de-ashing is a dry de-ashing system with container, big filter bags and silos.
Wood Chippers & hoggers
We can supply and install a range of machines to reduce the biomass material to a usable and uniform fuel size. We have access to the major manufacturers of wood shredders, re-shredders, chippers and hammer mills. We can also supply magnet equipment for ferrous metal removal and feed systems to maintain a constant feed/extraction rate to the machine. We also can advise on:
