Biomass and wood waste is seen as an effective alternative fuel for industrial, commercial and local authority heating system applications. These types of organisation are now looking at this renewable energy proposition for their heating and power needs. We are a long established full service company which specialise in the design, supply, installation and service support of biomass boilers and warm air heater systems.
Our biomass boiler systems, using direct combustion, produce thermal energy which can then be used for space heating, heat for an industrial process, or used to generate electrical power by steam turbine or Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) - our products include:

Our smaller systems up to 150kW to 600kWth are manufactured in the UK. Our larger systems or systems that need a higher degree of combustion control are either manufactured in Germany by Weiss-Kessel®, who are recognised internationally as leaders in Biomass boiler design. These boilers come in many different options up to a maximum of 50MWth.
We also have a mid range between 200kW and 3MWth from the Danish boiler manufacturer LinKa® . They produce very compact and efficient biomass boiler systems that also have high water volumes, which in some cases removes the need for buffer vessels within the distribution system.
Burning biomass is considered to have a near zero net greenhouse effect as the carbon dioxide given off during its combustion, which was absorbed during its growth, will be absorbed by the growth of the next biomass crop e.g. Wood, grass, straw etc. For most direct combustion systems the fuel would be in the form of wood chip or wood pellet. If using wood production residue (wood waste) as your fuel then it would need to be granulated down to an appropriate size for the fuel handling system.
